that’s the HEAVYMACHINEGUN
It was surprisingly hard to actually find an image of that scene… seems there’s only two, and one just looks like a barrier. :/
Sadly, I don’t think we’ll get to see anything as awesome as FF8 in this comic.
Well, maybe it would’ve been the most convenient time for them…
… or maybe she’d just stop a bullet all Queen Edea-style.
Lol, yeah, those definitely weren’t contemporary with swords.
Let me tell ya something about cameos, Gashi… That’s definitely too many.
If you look in the back you can see a white pony with a red jacket holding an assault rifle with what looks like a grenade launcher attachment. That or it’s one huge shotgun. lol
So, yeah. Swords to guns. Kinda weird. I could accept a flintlock pistol, since those were contemporary with swords, but not a revolver.
And it kinda makes sense to not tell everyone the plan, because spies and all, but the reader should be informed.
And what’s this about a “Commander’s Magic Flame” now? Since when was retrieving whatever that is even part of the plan to kill Twilight? How will it even help? More random things are coming out of nowhere again… Call me crazy but I would think that any form of resistance would actually tell their people the plan of action and everything of importance needed for it before the actual fighting is about to start. That way when anything happens that could change said plan comes up (like the enemy suddenly moving out to attack) they wouldn’t find themselves at a sever disadvantage or struggle to try and make up a new plan on the spot from scratch which would leave most of their resistance in the dark.
At this point it just sound like they’re going to split up into two groups. One half will just group up against the enemy and attack them until one side dies while the other tries to raid the castle for an unknown object and to save people whom we know won’t have any part in killing their former friend. Even if she might not even be their actual friend.
Also, the swords and other melee weapons that they handed out to everypony have now spontaneously turned into guns instead. More continuity everyone! No, wait…

With Marco on their side, they have nothing to fear.
Yep. This is how it usually goes.

This and the sometimes-awkward translations really say that he needs a new person to do the translations, or a competent editor…
Interesting to see a plan like this laid out, though. I wonder why they care so much about rescuing the “Keys”, though…
Unless they’re going with the plan that I mentioned earlier and actually are going to kill them, and are just pulling this cover to not arouse their suspicion :D
But that runs into the issue of “why”? If they’re going to kill them, why not just do it now, or earlier when they were in their lair?…
(lol, okay, I don’t want them to die, it’s just it’d be beautifully logical / interesting / end-justifies-the-means-moral-ambiguity if they went the “if the Keys die, Twilight dies, therefore killing those 5 ponies will ensure Twilight’s demise as per the prophesy” route)
