nvm he’s no longer involved even if Lionsgate distributes this.
Jeez the differences between distribution and production lol
“Every film that Katsumoto was involved was unsuccessful as Norm of the North”
Fixed it for ya. And by ya, I mean IT ME.
Wait, what about Ken Katsumoto? He works for Lionsgate and no movie that Katsumoto was involved was successful like Norm of the North.
That’s good. Maybe it’s kinda like how Mike Flanagan and Jeff Howard didn’t let Michael Bay ruin what would be a better prequel for Ouija. (Or is it different? idk)
I dont think it’s going to be an all-out war for creativity control honestly.I mean all those people you listed who were on the Ratchet and Clank movie probably have to follow Hasbro instructions.Also like i said earlier DHX/Hasbro staff outnumber the R&C guys so there’s that
But let’s not forget about Anthony Di Ninno and Braden Oberson, they’re both involved in the movie and Ratchet and Clank.
Also, Yes, hence I hope they will outsmart Munroe while making this movie, just like Mike Flanagan outsmarted Michael Bay while making the Ouija prequel.
Actually Goldner is a producer for the movie, not an executive producer, alongside Josh Feldman, Haven Alexander and Stephen Davis for Hasbro
Edited
Looking at IMDB,he is an executive producer but then so are Vogel,McCarthy and Goldner from Hasbro.I think the people who worked on the show since day oneoutnumber Munroe.Plus McCarthy write the script with Hsiao (who co-wrote Mulan)
Not like I dislike Munroe, is just that films like TMNT and Ratchet and Clank got negative reviews. Hell, even three people who are involved in the MLP movie were in the R&C movie.
Also, I forgot to mention that Munroe was also a storyboard artist and executive producer in the movie
Edited
Well, Munroe was involved in the movie as consultant.
And I agree, 2D-animated films need to make a comeback, even if it’s made and released in Digital Stereoscopic 3D
That would be awesome. I’m all for CG-animated films, but I’d love for 2D-animated theatrical films to make a big comeback.
@Hollowfox the Stallion
Why would Kevin Munroe have anything to say about this movie or Thiessen and McCarthy? Did something happen between them?
@Background Pony #5D90
My greatest hope is that it’s good enough to revive the fandom to the levels close to (if not exactly at) the heyday of pre-season3, enough that pony content is everywhere and that the anti-bronies can’t do shit except writhe in their own impotent salt, further encouraging people to annoy them because they still haven’t learned their lesson after 6 years.
But I’ll settle for just being good.
Dare to dream…
So what. Relax. Don’t get yourself worked up into a frenzy about things that you have no control over.
The only difference I saw was Twilight ear , I mean its just barely noticeable….
Imagine if this movie is a hit and accidentally ends up starting a new golden age of 2D animated films.
I think we really need start to pray for success of that Movie like for real…everybrony should go to church and pray and hope that movie is good
Gagne says they’ve only just “officially turned ‘pro’” signing on to this gig, so I reckon it isn’t someone we’re likely to have heard of yet. Perhaps the start of a legend, though!
