It feels to me like she was well meaning but unknowing and has just been played.

Also, this is kinda weird, but Anon’s such a genuinely likable guy in this comic that I’m actually upset he’s being mind controlled.

Not only does it turn out the priestess is confused,
but she’s willing to relent and listen to Celestia still.
The alternate situation of her being zealously controlling of Anon might’ve been interesting,
but it would’ve been a lot more cliche: getting bored of 1000% immovable religious zealots in fiction.
I’m allergic to most of the stuff, so nausea is the least of my concerns.
