Makes sense! You just need to flip the “c” and the “s” and you get… well, you know!
Some of the I knew, such as asexual vs sexual reproduction and how insects and other less complex animals tend to commit incest. But the reason they do that is because they’re to mental simple to understand whats happening(many of them any, like insects) and are able to do so without incest because they’re dna is rather simplistic, that’s why things like ants can do it, they’re dna is so simple that there aren’t that many gene to screw up. But it seems like with a sapient species the dna would have to be very complex considering all the biological mechanism that goes into such things, so hypothetically speaking changelings probably couldn’t commit incest without major issues, and if would probably have a biological wired taboo
I’m told that incests still have problems with inbreeding, like most species.
Sex isn’t the same for all animals as it is for mammals. Some animals reproduce asexually, others are a mix, and others commit incest all the time with no real negative consequences. Komodo dragons, for example, can sometimes lay eggs without ever mating. Females do this sometimes in the event of food being scarce. If there’s not enough food, a female might swim to another island and do this to start a new colony. This process also always ensures the baby will be male, so he and the mom can later MEEP.
Insects have an especially weird variety of reproducing. Bees tend to avoid incest with very complicated mechanism and behaviors that offer a brief window of time for bees to breed with other rival colonies. A lot of species have the queen go out on a “girls night out” where she literally will collect as much sperm as possible to sustain her colony for a life time. Carpenter bees on the other hand are very unusual bees because they reproduce the old fashioned way. Completely sexual. They even have a mating dance.
Meanwhile, ants commit incest all the time. A lot of species have the queen basically make a batch 12 or so fuccboiz who get to oof her for all eternity. How they somehow avoid inbreeding despite literally having incest is a very weird and complicated method that I don’t remember. You could look it up.
I mean the former changelings literally have no differentiating physiology so I’m pretty sure insect biology is a major factor and thus incest wouldn’t have much of an effect but sure.
Incest is bad m’kay. I’m not even going to get into this discussion I’m out.
That’s because they aren’t capable of understanding such concepts because they don’t have brains, but changelings do, and I’m sure their dna is more than complex enough to be negatively affected by incest
Then again, they’re all bugs and bugs don’t really have familial ties to one another.
I think that’s somewhat obvious. If you can read things into an episode, that doesn’t mean you should. I mostly just disagree with 2 and 3, though.
Words and phrases have meaning.
Well, that explains why Sombra couldn’t be reformed. :)
They’re hungry of love. Anything is possible.
Is it incest if they don’t exist? lol
Poes Law.
I’d say he’s more peeved than butthurt from the tone… Or the tone I hear in my head; I don’t hear another person’s tone simply by text. lel

I’m sure he was stating his opinions in a comic fashion, but considering I’ve seen people expressing similar beliefs (in this very thread, even), I expect it’s not just a joke.
@Soarinjack
If this is butthurt, I wonder what word would be used to describe the rants of the people who don’t like the episode(s).
In other news; fandom still upset about people not liking what they like. More after the movie, at eleven…
Same, though I admit I laugh at one or two of their jokes, just not most of their sex jokes.
The art is good. It’s the persistent sexual innuendo themes that myself isn’t fan of.
Edited
Heh, yeah, more or less.
To be fair the black metaphor they made isn’t too far from the message the episode sends. They changed the majority of the race to be just like them it is a form of whitewashing. Then you had Starlight speaking to Chrysalis as if she knew better about her entire race than Chrysalis did which is just asking for trouble. Then you have the super cliché they are “ugly” because they are “bad” and they become “beautiful” if they are “good”.
As for the men replacing women thing I don’t really see it that way.
