They’re kids in elementary school. I don’t think it has anything to do with being straight or lesbian or romance at that point in their lives, so much as just being someone they like. Shoot, DIAMOND TIARA got a valentine from another filly and no one seems to bat an eye at that. The reason the CMC made Cheerilee a valentine is just because they really love her as a teacher and think she’s special. Does that make the CMC lesbians? Of course not.

Or maybe we’re just forcing an adult’s mindset onto a child’s to see something that isn’t there. Kids are kids. They’re not going to think in the same way we do. Even if she wanted to give a valentine to Twist it doesn’t mean she has a romantic attraction to her.

The artist’s page is now kaput. Is this picture now open season? I’d like to ask to use it for a fanfic chapter cover. But if I can’t ask the artist, I may just say that I’d take it down if they ever ask me to. If the artist has simply moved on.

I too think she was going for Truffle Shuffle. I thought people were just clowning around, making her a lesbian, but it seems artists enjoy same-sex couples too much…
