I think Shepherd was referring to the fact that Fairy type pokemon often have high special defense and special attack compared to physical attack and defense (if my memory don’t fails me there’s only one physical fairy attack). So they are more magical because they have more “special” power.
I’m sure there’s plenty of fairy stuff that’s a little bit magical.
All monsters are magic, including the pocket-sized kind, and supposedly the digital kind as well. Actually, the way I see it, Pokemon and MCU Thor operate similarly by indirectly calling science and magic the same thing. Numerous other RPGs use this philosophy as well. :3
