There’s a thing: Luna and Celestia existed before than the creation of Equestria.
I was mistaken, it doesn’t explicitly say that at all. It does say that the sisters played in Canterlot as fillies, so perhaps they were born before the founding of Equestria?

Look on the bright side: You’re never too old for LEGOs.
According to the Journal of the Two Sisters, they were not born in Equestria.
They never seen a baby alicorn in Equestia, that doesn’t mean natural corns live outside of Equestia.
In the Season Premiere, Celestia and Luna said that an alicorn has never been born in Equestria.
Of course, that could mean that Celestia and Luna aren’t born in Equestria.

I’m pretty sure Journal of the Two Sisters (a canon book) said that Celestia and Luna were born alicorns.
Who said they weren’t born Alicorns?
