More of a comparison to their plans to do something to the masses. the whole time thing can be compared to whatever chrysalis would have in store for starlight much later.
so how WOULD chrysalis exact her revenge? starlight almost ruined time with hers and anything less makes chrysalis PUNY.
No she isn’t. Sunset was never going to be on the main show, Starlight or not.
more of they could’ve used adagio’s exact comeback for chrysalis and it would still work (maybe even more so).
think of it as some shows coughtransformerscough, recycling the same line again and again and over multiple iterations but still works

Starlight is not sunset, but she is what keeps sunset away from the main show
Woah, someone forgot one of the rules. Y’know “be excellent to eachother”?
Also, think about it, both Starlight AND Sunset are pretty much copies of Twilight that turned evil and were then redeemed. Even the NAMES are similar. Twilight/Sunset/Starlight Sparkle/Shimmer/Glimmer. Starlight is pretty much what happens if you put Sunset in the actual show.
Jesus christ, dude. Bring it down a few pegs.
