Season 6, Episode 23: Where the Apple Lies

That little Applejack! I just had to, had to make her. Totally no bias. It did
turn out a bit more darker themed than I thought, but I wanted to include something
tied to the story a bit more than just multi-pony tailed skinnier younger Applejack.

The extra freckles make up for the missing hat, thankfully. But it’s just so much
fun to see her in yet another age and time of her life. We’ve seen Applejack so
often in such ways, telling a story of the past. It never gets old…

It also showed that Applejack has cared for the farm for quite a while. Something
she’s shown a lot in her current day and age. It’s nice to see that. But it’s also
fun to hear who’s actually running the farm ha-ha. Applejack has a lot of say, but
in the end Granny remains good ól Granny. Showing them ponies how it stands.

Filthy did do a bit of a mean trick, putting a young pony like that in such an
ultimatum. While Applejack’s lies were nothing to be proud of, and really got
out of control, the underlying reason was a pretty serious one. But it was nice
to see Granny show Filthy Rich who’s really in need of that deal, hah. He may be
worse off than the Apples. Well, both would be. That’s business for ya,
gotta keep your ’business partners healthy as well, so all can benefit.

Anyhow, it was quite the enjoyable episode, not just because Applejack. There’s
also Big Macs story part to it of course, and little snippets of fun here and there.
