I swear, the more I think about it, the more I adore trixie as a character. She’s such a deep and complicated character, despite on the surface being just a loud dipshit. The show honestly admitted that her boasting is just an act to cover for the fact that she straight-up hates herself.

As time goes on, Trixie desperately wants to be Twilight’s friend, but all of her advances are turned down. It’s a downward spiral from there.

There is making Trixie more sympathetic, and then there is crossing the line right into pathetic. Guess which one this series does?
 
Seriously, I like Trixie, but here it’s like she’s damaged beyond repair. I understand that people like seeing Trixie’s haughtiness stripped away to see her in a more vulnerable state, although there comes a point where it kind of stops feeling like Trixie anymore, and just becomes sad and miserable. :(

And yeah. Kindness Reward is probably one of the few fics I see where Trixie stays… how you say… more or less in character.

Flammie speaks the truth! That fic is probably one of the best shipfics, because it keeps all of the characters flawlessly in-character. It’s just so amazing.
