I believe that’s exactly why it’s “semi-grimdark” instead of Full on Grimdark. The cake frosting gives the appearance of blood, without there actually being any~

Also some grimdarkyness due to the horrifying amount of Torture that Pinkamena is putting Rainbow Dash through. Not letting her have any of the frosting! D=
