Entry for the EQD ATG Day 19: An exhausted pony.
Tried another method for linework, turned out okay-ish.
Lucatiel is easily my favourite NPC out of Dark Souls 2, maybe the entire series.
Shame there wasn’t really an equivalent in Dark Souls 3.

Not really. In a way, maybe, but it seems to me more like DS2 NPC’s get you more invested than DS3. Yes, Anri is a good friend, but Lucatiel actually build from being more confrontational, she trusts you and even bares her fears to you, even the worst parts of herself, and in the end you are there to see that all your help was for naught. where Anri, like a lot of DS1 NPC’s, just hollows offscreen.
That’s pretty sad and fitting.
