Looks like Twi is using a wig to make herself more presentable. You can see the label on it just near her ear. Yes, I know it’s probably just an artist oversight, but a wig makes the scenario seem more real.

Not a bad manner of immortality, despite the obvious aesthetic problems. Phylacteries are SUCH a weaksauce weakness though, one of the reason I think I prefer mechanization.
