The ComicCon Derpy toy, that has genuine resale value and is worth keeping boxed. This was from Hot Topic. There’s no real scarcity, and everyone who wants one can get one.

Depends on what you bought it for. Plus remember, most “collectible” merchandise has no actual resale value beyond a buck or two at a garage sale. The few things that do have value, you’ve never seen one and never will, because serious collectors scarfed them up long before you ever knew they existed.

Well, if you buy it with indend to resell it later, then yes. But if you buy it for yourself only, then what point in “keeping high value”?

Umm is it just me who thinks you should never open boxes with collectible merch?
 
I always thought it lowers their value dramatically…

It really bothers me how the colours on Rainbow’s mane are wrong (blue where there’s supposed to be yellow), but that said, there’s always a second generation to look forward to, and it’s a helluva lot closer to the characters than the actual toys are lol. I hope they come out with more ponies as well.
