Does it matter? Super Robot Wars isn’t leashed by such insignificant things as ‘canon’.
You got to ask how broken great mazinger would be in that scenario (have they introduced great zero yet?).
considering it’s basically shin mazinkaiser, mazinger zero could also be put beside grendizer.
it’s mostly perpetuated by the SRW games (if grendizer is in it, koji never gets the kaiser. if koji gets kaiser, duke never appears) to avoid answering which one is the more powerful one (stats and performance wise).
makes me wonder if SKL will be the exception to that (SKL-grendizer appearing in the same game).
doesn’t help that in the dynamic pro special kaiser, shin getter and grendizer are the ones who bailed out the other robots from ankoku daishogun.
Say what? I was under the impression Mazinkaiser was stupidly powerful, even greater than Grendizer. Meanwhile, Dizer’s more adaptable, with all those different saucers.
that and the whole mazinkaiser-grendizer power levels thing
It occurred to me my squee was possibly premature (it’s unlikely Grendizer Giga would be as crazy awesome as Shin Mazinger Z-Hen), but I’m just glad Dizer isn’t totally forgotten.
Let’s face it, Mazinger Z has a lot more big name pull.
reception is so-so though (really short, only 2 volumes of manga).
