So Equestria. In that very episode you linked the parody to one of the mares trying to bribe Twilight for the ticket straight up says, “I’ll do your taxes.” Even in the fantasy world of rainbow colored magical equines you can’t escape taxes.

He can finally get his Play Depot.

Maybe I was just too deep in fanon, but I always thought of Twilight as a librarian.

Oops; ignore my second double post; my first comment wasn’t showing up for me for some reason.
 
Who knows, but in the four seasons that she lived in said library,
 
1: Twilight being a librarian wasn’t mentioned even a single time, nor was the library ever given the public adjective.  
2: No one other than her close friends were ever shown entering the library without her knowledge and permission (other than the welcoming party in episode 1), let alone checking out any books.  
3: Diamond Tiara didn’t know that Twilight lived at a library (or even that the tree was a library in the first place).  
4: Fluttershy apologized for entering the lower floor of the library before (I know it’s Fluttershy, but still).  
5: No-one has mentioned the town now lacking a library that ponies could get books from when it had one before, since the castle library certainly isn’t public.  
6: Twilight’s friends felt completely free to just take the roots of the library to the castle, like it wasn’t public property  
7: Even when they knew she was in, and they were supposed to be there, ponies often knocked.  
8: Twilight and Spike treated the first floor (where all the books are) like it was private, keeping their valuables there, and Twilight doing research there.
 
It’s not conclusive, but the fact that after nearly 100 episodes, Twilight wasn’t mentioned or shown to be doing any librarian duties is extremely suspicious, as is the fact that ponies didn’t treat it like a public place.
