That last part wasn’t at you I said that stuff before you got involved I was just telling you why I was talking about it I wasn’t saying you hated furries, I was just saying your response to it was overly defensive and again I did not say they are the same I said they are similar that’s all.

So yes, you were saying that bronies are furries. Quite distinctly. You’re right, there are a lot of similarities, and it’s very hypocritical to like one and judge the other - which I never, ever did. All I said was that they’re different, and that you shouldn’t assume all bronies are furries.

Bronies are people that enthusiastically like Friendship is Magic. Furries are people that enthusiastically like anthropomorphic animals. Furries can easily be bronies; bronies do not automatically equate to furries. By your logic, anyone who’s watched and enjoyed anything that involves anthropomorphic animals is a furry and that’s simply not true. Plenty of my friends loved “The Lion King” or Loony Toons when they were kids and don’t have the remotest interest in furries (some even outright dislike the fandom).
 
Again: liking a thing that has anthropomorphic animals in it doesn’t make you a furry - it makes you a fan of that thing. Being a furry means liking anthropomorphic animals regardless of the context. That’s kind of the whole point of the furry fandom.
