Shipping is about having fun, enjoying yourself and enjoying the characters you like. Don’t let this get to you. Well, never expected to say this, being a Flashlight fan, but you really can’t give up just like that. Shipping basically always exists as an impossibility, just a nice idea you like thinking about and idly wishing about. A ship is really only dead if you let it die, for better or worse. If it makes you happy, you should hold onto it, because there’s always some parallel universe where your wildest dreams are true.
 
But then again, Flashlight’s been getting sidelined harder and harder since the second movie, so maybe I should be taking my own advice.

Crackshipping and headcanons are fine, as long as you don’t claim it as canon. I have my share of headcanons as well. But the moment something is being defined as canon we should give it up. Up until now Twilight “just” had a crush on Flash, and that was it. PLENTY of room for my own headcanons that Twilight and Sunset get together. But with this new development, it’s clear Hasbro won’t stop pushing their “The protagonist needs to get together with a new guy in the movies” agenda and it will be canon, even if it isn’t just yet. That “plenty of room” before has become a tiny box

I’ll admit even if I don’t ship SunsetSparkle I’ll admit this is very sweet. And I can’t help but feel a bit bad for Sunset here.

Hey, i stayed strong, no matter how much Flash hit on twilight and twilight blushed in return, i fought back.  
But now this guy doing the same to sci-twi, and i just…i don’t want to feel pain anymore. I care about canon but as long as there is a tiny chance of a love interest not getting together i will keep on shipping, but… like this, with Hasbro pushing any twilight to a love interest i just…i feel like they i have lost. There is no point to it anymore

I’m crying here… my reaction to seeing that sneak peek was to give up shipping(especially twilight x sunset shipping) altogether for MLP
