I would love it if they broke completely and went the way of the whigs. They basically flatly admitted to be being not at all what they claimed to be. One guy saying “Republicans are heirarchical, respectful of authority” as if that were a positive trait.
Them dissolving would leave room that could be filled in by third parties. Dreamy prospect, but fun to hope for. Trump was a needed wrecking ball. If both parties go down, all the better.
there is one bright side (long-term), the republican party has been turned upside-down… many things have changed and some new people have joined, so it will be interesting to see what happens in the senate and stuff :)
