“having every intention of reporting back to Chrysalis” does not imply being happy to serve her. The alternative could very well be… more unpleasant. With Spike’s help, his eyes could be opened to the fact that some creatures freely give love, rather than give it up by having it drained from them. In this case, I doubt he’d want to go back to his previous environment willingly.

The problem is in your original theory you said very clearly he had “every intention of reporting back to Chrysalis” (i.e. was perfectly happy with serving her under his own volition) until he had a change of heart after meeting Spike, and then in your next you say he “escaped” and sending him back to the “den of evil” he was perfectly loyal to is somehow a suicide mission.

Uh no you specifically used the word evil you’re just trying to damage control now and you are using just as much headcanon as anyone else saying they would kill him or even the headcanon that they are evil which has no proof and from what we have seen of the promo’s is pretty unlikely though I will wait till see for sure on that. All in all your phrasing was poor and you’re accusing me of something you are doing yourself.

I’ll spell it all out real clear-like:
 
I posited a theory (one among several different working theories I have) that the changeling was sent by Chrysalis to infiltrate the ponies and spy on them, but Spike’s acceptance and friendship actually convinced him to change sides, betraying Chrysalis. Then Ardishir suggested the ponies could use him as a double agent, presumably to go back to Chrysalis and spy on her.
 
I didn’t think that sounded like something the ponies would do: Send a friendly changeling back to spy on Chrysalis. I think it would be extremely dangerous and likely a suicide mission.
 
Then you came along and complained about how this particular theory doesn’t line up with your headcanon.

I was talking about the “den of evil” which implies the other changeling’s in the hive are evil and that this changeling somehow “escaped”.

Ember wasn’t. Also not everyone knows he was raised by ponies to many he’s just a dragon and thus comes with a stigma just like the changeling.
