If you thought this scene went on too long in the comic, it also went on too long in the campaign, and eventually Rhapsody had enough and insisted that we move on. She also has some choice words for Night Cap, whose friendliness with the enemy is beginning to look suspicious. Could his apparent cowardice in the first battle and his apparent clumsiness in the second battle be something more sinister?
This is probably my most decompressed comic ever, and it shouldn’t happen again. I was just trying to create enough buildup for that ending. As Archer would say, “Phrasing!”

I think this is when night cap became my favorite. ♥
When I started reading it? Probably an hour or two before making the post.
Comics, especially comics on individually-loaded webpages, tend to slow down my reading speed to where I’d expect to spend at least an hour getting this far, probably more.

If you’re curious about the original campaign, it’s fully preserved in forum posts. It’s hundreds of pages long now but pretty readable. Most of us got our characters’ voices down pretty quickly.

I came into this from some pages a decent bit into it (and then decided to go back and read everything) so I knew some of what to expect from Night Cap, but I didn’t expect him to be so consistent.
If the rest of the group was equally skilled, it’s a shame you didn’t record it as a podcast; I’d’ve listened to it.
She’s actually a sweetheart once you get to know her. She just cares deeply about the team and pounces on anything she sees as a threat to their safety.
