I don’t get it; is Twilight on the phone pretending to be her parents in another room? Is the joke that she has to get her parents to do her interview for her because she’s awkward and nervous?

Normally, despite how nauseatingly sfw these comics are, I can still just about find the intended humour in them. But this one has simply left me stumped.
