Butterscotch: Because I was just like you! I wasn’t always the brother you idolize. I felt like as much of a bum as you feel. I couldn’t even fly.
I told you those stories to make myself look better. But I didn’t tell you the struggle I had to face my whole life.
But thanks to my friends, I was able to get myself back up and improve myself. I wasn’t perfect and I kept messing up for awhile but I now I’m just a little better.
…And honestly I should have been there for you, sis. I should have helped you through these tough times. I was so worried about my own struggles I forgot about yours.
But things will change. I’m gonna be by your side sis. I know it’ll be difficult but just like me you’ll be strong.
Blaze: And I’m gonna help you too just like this dork.
Aura: sniffle Okay I’ll try. Thank you.

I guess this is really just picturing that moment where Zephyr feels he can’t compare to his sister, who saved Equestria several times. I don’t think Fluttershy would have been as harsh on him if she knew how insecure he was the whole time.

lol, can’t argue properly, so uses a stupid meme to speak for himself. So mature…
And here I thought that expressing my opinion in a polite fashion with rational arguments and without demonizing any category (because even considering the possibility that our society still clings to old-fashioned values that place man at its center totally means I hate men, even though I am one and I think it sucks for us too and women are also guilty of enforcing it) or anyone in particular (and I’m sorry if you felt offended by my comments, but I was criticizing the ideas you came up with, not you as a whole) would warrant me the right to speak, but alas, no…
So much for freedom of speech…

Well, I don’t see the problem of exposing my opinion about the subject as long as I’m not insulting anyone. I don’t approve of the SJWs and their ways either, and I think men, white and cis people go through a lot of shit too, especially from those activists wannabes who find something wrong at everything. But I’m still of the opinion that there’s a severe bias towards the aforementioned groups in our society that need to be fought against, even if that doesn’t justify a lot of shit the SJWs put them through - much like Anti-SJW don’t have the right to harass activits who behave themselves properly, like I’ve seen happening from time to time. I don’t want to demonize any group that constitutes society, because, really, everyone’s at least partially to blame for the occurring injustices, and everyone tries to fuck with the others from time to time - no-one is a saint, but then again, if everybody is an asshole, why some assholes are treated better than the others?
Well, that’s what I believe, at least, but if you don’t want to discuss those topics, fine by me. But if you don’t want me to express my opinions, than don’t go ranting either.

There’s no bigger unfair double standard against men than that they aren’t allowed to be feminine in any way ¬¬ Hell, one of the main reasons the Brony Fandom is discriminated against is because they DARE to watch a show for girls. That stupid standard that men “should have balls” is what is dumb, and has caused much more damage over the course of history than men allowing themselves to be effeminate. Many boys (including some pony-lovers) have tried to commit suicide because their peers couldn’t stand them not being macho enough.
Hell, our entire male culture is centered around trying to prove you’re not a sissy. Also, if you think girls can get away with anything nowadays, then you surely haven’t noticed how much more women are patrolled over their appearance, or how impossibly high are the expectations for women in Hollywood in terms of body image compared to men (you don’t see nearly as many non-conventionally beautiful girls achieving success as guys, for sure). Also, most of the unfair standards held against men are actually result of the same patriarchal societal structure that oppresses women - which only goes to show how unhealthy it is for everyone, not just girls. The only reason women aren’t expected to be as successful as men are is because they’re traditionally though of as far weaker and incapable than them; thus them depending on their parents or a husband would be much more understandable - and, even if now they’re allowed to work outside home, old habits die hard, even if the reasons behind them may be forgotten (much like it’s still far more common for wives to adopt their husbands’ names than vice-versa). And also, men and women are NOT completely inherently different from each other; there are indeed admittedly fairly strong tendencies running in both sexes, but people don’t follow them as strictly as you may think. So, while a majority of men and women may display certain traits commonly associated with their gender, they aren’t universal rules by any means, and those who do usually are much more complex than that, following some trends while breaking others.

Yes, but that’s not the same thing. Women don’t get judged as much for not having a job.

This episode could not have come out at a worse time for me personally, because the double whammy of my grandmother’s wake and crapton of student debt means I’ve had to move back with my mom for the forseeable future.

But this isn’t really the place for this discussion so let’s drop it before we go full tumblr.
