Being a leader is tough stuff. In the end, you can only choose the lessermost of a wide array of evils you’re presented with. You can’t give 100 people a loaf of bread each if there’s only 50 loaves of bread (unless you’re Jesus, lol :p). It’d be great to end all the world’s problems, but a leader can’t do that - not even a supreme monarch could. They can only do the least evil and/or the most good.
 
Hamas puts rocket artillery batteries next to schools and starts firing on your city. What do you do? Let the innocent civilians, men women and children in your city take rocket artillery for days on end, or send in an airstrike and take out the artillery, but also do collateral damage to the nearby schools? Do you let the rockets rain for a day while you move in special forces to try to take them out with less collateral, but at the risk of failure and knowingly letting the rockets rain for a day?
 
Do you run the risk of damaging a strained economy with a model that countless people have a great deal of doubts about, in the hope of reaching more with medical care, but potentially making many parents go jobless due to economic strains, and businesses doing layoffs to manage increased taxes?
 
Simplified slogans and flanderized messages get people rallied to vote, but reality is far too complex to be adequately understood by such means.
 
 
I’m just talking about that kind of thing in general, I’m going to ignore any attempts to start a debate from here. The wording is funnily similar to Obama’s campaign, but this isn’t a president, this is Scootaloo’s idol encouraging her (though that itself is a debatably meritable thing, since Rainbow really doesn’t actually know if Scoots will ever fly under her own power…) :p

Unless the series lasts for another 6-8 years, I’d say the odds of either are zero. Working under the assumption that the series will last until at least one of them happens, though, I’d say Scootaloo flying is more likely.

What is more likely? Scootaloo flies or Celestia gets an episode?
