Ok, the animators HAD to know what this looked like, right? They can’t seriously be that oblivious, especially considering how in other places they put in references that show they understand how the brony fandom thinks. The more I watch this scene the worse it looks - in context there’s not really any other obvious way to interpret it.
 
So I guess characters being sexually assaulted onscreen is canon now? Ok, I like when MLP explores more mature themes, but mature in the sense that it deals with politics, diplomacy and other serious issues in relatively realistic ways, not in the sense that it’s pushing content that’s about 3 age ratings higher than it should be.
