I feel like Plague is the type of character who shows a lot more of his personality when he has something to fight against. Something powerful that can threaten him, such as a fellow Draconequus. Throughout the comic so far he’s been completely in control of what happens, and the Elements of Harmony couldn’t do anything to him. In other words, he’s had no reason to start making any effort, and so this snarky side of him is all we see.
Not defending Plague’s portrayal so far or anything, just starting a discussion.
Ah I see. You’re one of those people who dislike villains that are evil for the sake of evil. I understand now. And no I’m not saying that as an insult.
I see where both of you are coming from, though you misread me. I am not saying Plague and Discord are one in the same in what they represent. After all, earlier in the comic, Twi stated that he’s the “ghost of violence” or whatever.
It’s just like Parallel joked about, balancing out the harmony is more Discord’s shtick. (before he got reformed I guess) Plague is just a glorified spirit of murder, it’s kinda’ boring.
What I’m saying is that when Discord spread his chaos, he does not kill since dead ponies cannot experience nor commit chaos.
The word plague is similar to chaos, but it also has an extra definition and it’s something that involves with diseases. Diseases main purpose is to kill and destroy life.
To me, that’s what makes Plague different from Discord.
East Asia likes to believe there’s a difference between chaos and wrath. I mean, there’s a noticeable difference between The Joker and Giygas. ^3^
