You are reading WAY too much into this. The intended demographic of this show won’t have a fucking clue why the rave pony has a pacifier. Kids will probably shrug it off. I doubt they’ll start wearing a pacifier ‘cause they think it looks cute and they sure as hell won’t start doing drugs.
 
Go sit in the corner for ten minutes.

Yes while it is used for drugs, people who don’t use drugs started doing it as fashion.  
I figured it was meant to be the drug in this image due to the artist’s description, both that they call her ‘ecstasy horse’ and that it was made for users of 4chan. You can always assume the worst when 4chan is involved.

It probably has more to do with the rave image than “drugs are good mkay”.
 
Ecstasy has been on the rave scene for a long, long time. And Raving has been around since the advent of electronic music in the late 70’s/80’s. So the relationship between it and drugs is so old that even with them removed the aesthetic elements of that part of the culture remains as part of its image.
 
And I think trying to divorce the rave scene and drugs anyways that people got pissed off at Madonna when she made a comment about rave drugs. I don’t know when that was.
 
Anyways, back to the original point: you may as well find stuff like pacifiers at raves today as a left-over of the druggie period of the culture. And doing anything with the rave culture in pop culture like MLP will imply that they will come up.
 
But that’s still beyond the point as at the very end an anon wanted a picture of the rave pone with the pacifier in the mouth, and since I was reading the thread and no one had delivered I took it on myself to hash it out quickly before I go do more important things with my evening.
