If put that way it seems that the Ponies take things at face value and don’t have a sense of critical thought.
She only wants Starlight as her student, because she was too powerful to leave her free. Trixie no.
Twilight always is seeking allies. Dragons (Gauntlet of fire final scene), Griffons, Yaks…
For no mention the idea of a school of “friendship” for the loonelies and social amusing characters, that is not friendship, friendship is not a thing for teach.
And finally, the reasons in the image. He was literally choose Starlight’s friends. For a character that is known as the Princess of
hypocrisyerr, “Friendship” talks a lot about her. Even before that, she smiles in a hypocrite way to Trixie.Twilight does not deserves that she has at the finale.
(Does the fucking flipagram laugh)
Well, when you think about it, the damage wasn’t permanent, seeing as they fixed the timeline, and such, so in the end nothing ended up happening. Everything she unintentionally did was undone. I suppose she got off easily, but to be fair, she did basically turn herself in afterwards, and was willing to accept whatever punishment they gave her. No other character has ever done that, or felt that bad about what they did. (Without being blasted by the elements of harmony, or something.)
There’s even an easy to miss moment where Starlight looks absolutely horrified by the “Ashlands” timeline.

I don’t recall anyone in MLP:FiM doing anything as bad as fucking with the timeline besides Starlight.
Well, Twilight tried, but accomplished nothing due to her younger self’s curiosity about the near future.
Discord may have also done, being the spirit/god of chaos.
Plus, I get that Glim-Glam didn’t really intend to fuck things up anywhere near as much as she did, but she still did so pretty badly, all in the name of petty revenge when she was in the wrong in the first place.
And I’m not saying that Queen Chrysalis did nothing wrong, but Starry got off relatively consequence-free, even in comparison to some other characters who’ve done far lesser evils (with or without malicious intent) and also felt remorse for their transgressions.
Granted, Starlight didn’t realize what she was doing was effecting the whole world/timeline until Twilight showed her. That’s when she finally started to break down, as she didn’t want to destroy everything, she just wanted revenge on Twilight.
Much like how it wasn’t entirely Trixie’s fault either, as she enslaved the town while possessed by an evil amulet.
Yet, some fans act like they both deserve the death penalty for their crimes whie forgiving other former baddies for doing equally bad things intentionally.

Not to mention, S6 is the first season where Twilight didn’t do anything in the finale.
season six already barely has any twilight, you soulless trixiefag.

Difference is that she’s a fraud. Everyone knows that real world magicians are just acting in character because there is no real magic in this world. Trixie is claiming to be the greatest unicorn ever lived and making up stories.
Real honest illusionist = Houdini = not Trixie
Fraud = Uri Geller = Trixie
First off, I don’t hate Trixie, I don’t think Trixie is a terrible person, in fact honestly I kinda agree with the above humorous image. Glimmer’s done worse things then her. (At one point, Glimmer become so delusional/revenge-crazed she was willing to risk turning Equestria into a wasteland, just to get revenge on one pony. It’s one of the main reasons, some fans have difficulty forgiving her, or find her heel-face-turn believable.)
I understand Trixie was showing off, and preforming, but what you forget is, she wasn’t entirely acting, and even off-stage she still behaved arrogant, and braggy.
The first time she dropped the fassad was when she was confronted by the Ursa.
I suppose maybe The Mane 6 overreacted, and I never said they were 100% in the right, but all I’m saying is neiter was Trixie. Also, lying about the Ursa bit her in the flank later.
Do you assume that every performer who makes grand claims about being the ‘greatest magician ever’ or spins tales of fantastical events are all terrible people as well? Because it’s all about the theatrics and many, many magicians and suchlike are basically acting on stage.
At that point nopony had seen Trixie not performing and had absolutely no idea of knowing whether Trixie was playing a character or not. The first time we see Trixie as 100% certainly herself is after the show, where we learn that yes, she is arrogant and self-absorbed - but during the show Twilight and Co. had no way of knowing either way, so they were basically being dicks to Trixie for no reason (Rainbow Dash even flew up onto the stage and right into Trixie’s face at one point).
It’s also worth noting that of the entire crowd, Twilight and her friends were quite literally the only ponies that actually objected to Trixie’s performance in any way. They liked the fireworks, liked her crazy tale of defeating the Ursa Major, liked Trixie’s magic tricks, and when Applejack and Rainbow Dash got shown up everypony apart from them laughed. The entire performance is really quite bizarre to watch, you’ve got the crowd in the back enjoying the show while the main six get progressively saltier for no reason as it goes on.
@Background Pony #21FE
They weren’t so much as heckling, as they were complaining about her arrogance, and bragging. (Trixie was lying to make herself seem better too.) So she wasn’t exactly innocent either.
If people were heckling my show, I’d be pretty upset…
Twilight’s friends were heckling and interrupting Trixie’s show, which pretty much gives her carte blanche to show them up in front of the crowd. Stage performers and suchlike do that all the time in real life and the crowd almost always loves it.
There were times she was still a “biotch” without it. Let’s not forget her humiliating all of Twi’s friends one by one, in her first appearance, and she did get the amulet with bad intentions originally.
B-But muh Alicorn Amulet. ;_;
What he said. Op is talking bullshit.
Yeah, apparently enslaving and psychologically torturing a whole village of ponies, messing with the fabric of time and causing several different apocalypses in a massive temper tantrum is just not on the same level as disturbing Twilight’s books……
Twilight has some pretty fyaaay up priorities.
Good point. Plus, Trixie wasn’t exactly a “saint” either in said episode, so I couldn’t really blame Twi’ for not trusting her.
