Every time we do this shit, we look terrible. And to punish you guys, I’m gonna make a bad comic every time you start up drama again!
Or I might do bad comics about other things. These are easy to make.

Yeah, for the most part this isn’t about whether/how to portray LGBT characters in MLP, it’s about people saying that Jeremy Whitley cannot ever be the least bit right about anything.
Could be, but you don’t use that in any kind of arguments.
And yes, opinions can be objectively wrong. They can be based off misinformation, or be absolute stupidity. You have the right to your opinion, but unless it is unarguably subjective, then I can very much challenge it.
@Hoploo
Opinions cannot be objectively wrong. It could be my opinion that people making toast was an unforgivable sin, but it would not be objectively wrong.
Yeah. I’m interested in seeing what other dramas you could analyze.
I’ll go along with that post broadly.
@Psyga315
My comic is doing what it’s meant to do?
And It’s being liked?
I think I am getting that mythical “happyness” feeling. I was gonna keep this up to destress myself, but, this is a damn pleasant surprise! Thank you!
@Goremise
Oh hey, it’s the purple guy from the above comic!
Joking aside, that sin stuff falls apart INSTANTLY as soon as you find out what counts as a sin. Which is nearly everything.
The more sensible reason against homosexuality is an actual disgust towards it. I myself found gays to be super gross. And now I don’t. I use to think onion was gross too. We don’t pick our disgusts, but we can try to manage them. In the same way, we should be careful not to let others influence us into disliking things. Disgust can change.
I myself find feet to be revolting. But I’d never say that a show should only ever be filmed from the ankles up. That’s just, really selfish. I can just about tolerate feet. If I couldn’t, then that’d be me with the problem, not the show or it’s creators.
As for opinions, we call each other out on having bad opinions daily. So it’s just so ridiculous to try to say “just my opinion” like it’s some kind of shield spell. It’s facts that you can’t argue with, but opinions are fair game.
“I myself love that the show has kept straight and all the characters in it straight for as long as it has, because it’s the best way to do it, it’s how it’s gotten this popular in the first place.”
Actually the early rumours that Rainbow Dash was a lesbian was a big part of it’s starting popularity. The controversy started by a few stupid people got others interested in checking it out. But after that, it was the quality of the content that kept the fans coming. Straight or gay was irrelevant, because it was a girls cartoon without being awful. And that’s a rare thing.

Teal and I share a lot of the same viewpoints in this one since well, I’m me.
Number one, under the non-idiots section: “This character is gay? I don’t think it fits the show”.
Number two, it is objectively wrong to think that it shouldn’t be practiced. Doesn’t mean it has to be shoved into every show, but doesn’t mean shows can’t include it either. It’s like how an SJW would call for something to be removed, due to an arbitrary offense.
Number three, the reason that this show is so popular is not because the show has kept the characters straight. I cannot even fathom the thought process to that reasoning.
Number four, it is about as much agenda pushing to put homosexuality in a show, as it is to keep it out of one. It’s called: bigotry.
By “idiots”, I meant in terms of behavior. If you noticed, in the “Non idiots” section, there were lines very similar to the Idiots section. But in a better attitude.
Accept the fact that people still see it as a sin and something that should not be practiced just as much as others see it as normal.
Just because other people don’t want to see gay stuff in practice or in their show’s, does not make them bad people.
We all have our own opinions, there is no one opinion above all others.
I myself love that the show has kept straight and all the characters in it straight for as long as it has, because it’s the best way to do it, it’s how it’s gotten this popular in the first place.
Atm, it’s just people pushing their agenda’s wherever they can.
Yes. I agree. It’s part of what I said about “how to write homosexuality properly.”. Though, I wouldn’t mind it being stretched out a little further, though while still maintaining being natural.
Basically, don’t be like the new Baldur’s Gate expansion. And by lord, don’t have an entire episode or character be devoted to “I’m gaaaaaaaayyyyyy!!!!”.
By calling people who may think differently ‘idiots’. You don’t really get much more blatant than that.
I am in agreement. Just an off-hand comment is all you need. Shining making a comment about his wife whilst at the crystal store, female clerk is like “yeah mine too”. One of those lines that doesn’t feel forced in or at all unnatural.
Heck you might even miss the fact she said she had a wife at all. That’s the kinda of subtle canon I want.
How am I being close minded about anyone having a different opinion than I?
That’s very closed minded about anyone having an opinion that is different to yours.
“Oh, your gay? That’s cool. On with the actual plot”.
“Oh you like girls/guys? Okay. Have your small romance scenes like an actual romance scene and not a ‘I’m gay! I’m so special because of that! I shouldn’t stop mentioning it either!’ and then on with the actual plot.”
“Oh, you are also one of the main characters? Nothing more than a trait. Let’s see what other character traits you have because your homosexuality is not the definition of your character, and you have value above that.”
How idiots will still interpret this.
“Ugh, they are shoving gays down our throats! The show has caved to the SJWs!”
“Yay! MLP is such now progressive show like SU! Those cishet white men better stay away from it!”
How not-as-much idiots will interpret this:
“NO! MY SHIP IS RUINED!!!”
“YAY! MY SHIP IS CONFIRMED!!!”
How non idiots will interpret this:
“This character is gay? Okay. That’s unique. It’s good to see more gay characters being introduced to children’s cartoons, in a non-shoving way, as not many western cartoons do that.”
“This character is gay? Okay. I cannot care less.”
“This character is gay? I think that this other character would be a better candidate.”
“This character is gay? Okay. I like romance either way!”
“This character is gay? I don’t think it fits into the show, but I’m not going to be like one of the idiots as mentioned above.”
The end.
My god, you mean that it isn’t a black and white good guys VS bad guys situation? My Chineighs cartoons never prepared me for this!
some people are.
And some would be alright with it if we didn’t stick that on the main characters for maximum exposure, and still others acknowledge that it would hamper the franchise in some markets.
People are just really desperate for something to be outraged about. I guess for some reason the flavor of the week is gays.
