Actually, the best way to play a game like that is to go all Deus Ex Human Revolution; in that game, ammunition was a right bitch to find on the go, so you had to make every shot you had count. Same in the old days, but with more bayonets and cover systems.
 
Also, I pity the laughable dope who wants to play as the Redshirts. MARCH IN A WIDE LINE AND DON’T TAKE COVER, MEN!

I guess ACIII will be as close as it will get though.

I’ve actually wanted to have an FPS that takes place during the revolutionary war as well.
 
That would be cool and difficult. Imagine all the COD players bitching and moaning about single shot rifle that you have to spend a good minute reloading. And if you do it improperly the gun will just explode when you try to fire it.

The closest I’ve ever come to reading Paradise Lost is playing Dante’s Inferno.
 
But I suppose it is a noble idea, but the world is far too gray for me to pray for the salvation of someone who willingly sins and feels no remorse for it.

Although I do suppose Twain was referring to the idea that, if we pray for all sinners, why not pray for ALL of them, undeserving as they may be?

Probably because unlike most sinners who seek redemption in the eyes of the lord he’d much rather conquer in the name of anarchy.
