Hopefully, I’ll remain pretty neutral. It’s easy to fall for bias and hype and go to either extreme, especially during elections like this and in a political climate of “My way or the highway,” which is how everyone acts and operates it seems.

I know. Poor people are generally not that successful or skilled, so the news that Trump is picking wealthy people for cabinet positions is something I take with a grain of salt. I feel it might be news sites trying to incite biased hatred by saying “Look at Trump, he’s turning his back on the poor already.”
 
Like I said, Hillary would have picked similar people for positions and the media would have spun it as brilliant and smart (except for the far left).

Many things changed. Some of them private stuff, but mostly just not being caught up in the hype of some grand progressive revolution that the Democrats wouldn’t let happen in a million years unless it helped them stay in power. I’m still more or less left-leaning, but I’m not going to buy into the anti-Trump fearmongering knowing that it’s only going to make things worse. I’m willing to give Trump a chance rather than whine like a child that “democracy failed us.” The system did its job and as much as I dislike Trump, he won fair and square and I’ll respect that.

It’s a double edged sword Nittany. There is no way to fill your cabinet with people who are both poor and successful/competent. That is an intersection that doesn’t exist. No matter who you find to fill those positions, they will probably be wealthy (because they know what they are doing) and someone somewhere will not like them and dig up some dirt.

Way I see it, as long as they do their jobs right and with the country in mind first, I don’t mind. If Trump’s really going to MAGA, I’d like to see him follow up on his promise.

I don’t even care that Trump won. As long as he doesn’t fuck the economy up like Bush, then I’ll be happy. Still don’t trust him, but the most sane thing I can do is trust him anyway.
