Even if Bulk Bicep’s legs are very thin and short, the rest of his body is massive, yet in this art, he is scalled down a lot.
 
I don’t really find it a good way to show Celestia’s and Luna’s strength by making Bulk Biceps way smaller than he is in the show.

If me having a Duck badge means that people who don’t know what the duck they’re talking about have a ready excuse to bow out of an argument they’re losing badly, then it’s definitely a good thing.
 
…Say, isn’t there a term for attacking an opponent instead of their argument? I swear I’ve seen that come up before somewhere on the internet.

This show that Bulk’s withers are on the same level than the top of Twilight’s head.  
So using this, we can determine that Bulk is significantly taller than Luna, but still smaller than Celestia … and that he is around 3 times larger than them.

I think Bulk Biceps is waaay to small to show their strength. He was way bigger in episodes, so there was no need to scale him down.

You mean like the way Luna and Celestia were Unicorns in the Cold Open of the Series Premiere, or the way nopony knew it was possible to ascend to Alicornhood in the S3 Finale, but Celestia didn’t know it was possible for them to be born that way in the S6 Premiere? Or the way Rainbow Dash got her cutie mark from a talent for speed in The Cutie Mark Chronicles, but that was presented as a talent for weather control in Magical Mystery Cure? The same guy wrote both of those episodes, and he also wrote the one where Nightmare Night was all about legends of Nightmare Moon and there was an ancient statue of her near Ponyville, even though Twilight was the only one who remembered who the hay she was in the Series Premiere; he didn’t write the one where Applejack recounts the legend of the Shadow Pony, but that was another one where knowledge/ignorance of NMM were in conflict.

You’ve started from a preconceived opinion that the comics are inferior to the show and then formulated an arbitrary standard after the fact to support it, but the show itself doesn’t even meet that standard.

IDW comics are already in direct contradiction with the show (Daring Do, Greta, etc …). Fun thing is, even internally IDW’s stories aren’t compatible with each other, because their various writers don’t even bother reading what was written previously :D

But enough talked about this detail. Am I the only one who is concerned by Celestia’s hoof position and how Luna’s rump seem to deform around it ? The ice is probably not for Celly …

Everything with Hasbro’s stamp of approval on it is canon, it’s just that the comics are set in a separate continuity from the show, like the difference between the Avengers movies and the Avengers comics over at Marvel; there’s Show Equestria and Comic Equestria, and they’re very similar but not the same place. Bottom line is that the show affects the comics but the comics don’t affect the show, so it’s super dumb for anyone to yell about it because they’re two different things that can very easily be kept separate from each other.

Also, for those wondering about Celestia asking for an aspirin… I do not believe pony legs are meant to bend up that high. Luna might need a few too. :3 Just a guess though~
