Neither do I want to, and the show has been ruined but only for those who were bothered by the changes. People stop liking the show, leave the fandom (in the best case scenario) and you never hear of them again giving the impression that people accepted the changes and nothing happened in the first place. All the fuss is made by the few who remain behind for whatever reason without actually liking the show, and the fact this type of complaints is so numerous says volumes about what people think on the matter.
 
Oh, and lastly… You say that Shining and Cadence didn’t do anything? Well, I never was against them or Coco that much, but characters like that have a tendency to create or attract other characters like them. For example, with no Shining and Cadence we wouldn’t have to suffer the Flurry monstrosity, without Glimmer it is unlikely that Trixie would have been brought back and Twilight’s character wouldn’t have gotten twisted and completely rewritten to that of a spiteful schoolgirl without any regard for how Trixie and her parted in the past, etc.  
By having these poorly written and in most cases overpowered characters, the writers chose the future where the show can only get worse as there will be a need to add more and more poorly-written characters and non-sensible plot snippets that serve only as fanservice filling. Or at least this is my opinion, who knows what will actually happen.

The very fact that it exists speaks volumes about the cringiness of a vocal minority of the show’s fans, the people who nitpicks every creative decision because they lack creativity themselves. Same equivalent of the d-bags who call into sports radio shows and talk about “If I was manager of [insert team name here] we’d be in first place.” Don’t like the show, go fuck off and find something else to fill the void in your cheeto-encrusted little life.

That’s what people used to say when Cadance & Shining Armor were both introduced, and they haven’t really altered the course of the show that much, and only appear occasionally. (The same will likely apply to Flurry, whom so far is still a very minor character. Even bit characters like Coco has appeared in more episodes then her.) Now hardly anyone complains about them both.  
Also, frankly, I’m amazed it took those two this long to have a kid after getting hitched. I don’t see why it’s such a huge shock. (Frankly, I would’ve been more surprised if she wasn’t an alicorn seeing as her Mother is one.)
 
People have been saying the show was “ruined forever” sense forever ago. I’m burned out on debating it, so I don’t wish too right now. Sorry.
