Princess Twilight Sparkle was powerful, and brilliant. This was not subjectivity; this was a fact. Perhaps even more brilliant than either Celestia or Luna. Inspiration struck; Equestria had never had a Queen. Surely, Twilight Sparkle was so brilliant that Celestia would not mind Twilight crowning herself Equestria’s Queen. Looking around at Ponyville, Twilight saw the foundations of a great capital city that would make Canterlot look like a ramshackle old stable.
Delving into the very deepest depths of the Alicorn magic that had been bestowed upon her by Celestia, Twilight transformed Ponyville, the Ponyvillagers, herself. Thatched roofs became diamond battlements, villagers became armoured sentryhorses. But Twilight’s physique became sharp and erect, her forehooves splintering into fingers and thumbs, her build becoming less equine and more like the denizens of that weird world that Sunset Shimmer had fled to. One shortcoming of being a quadruped was not having hands. Equestria High had taught her that much. Now, she was the perfect ruler, capable of writing proclamations with hands, while holding a rebel down under her hoof, while using her dwimmer shimmer to handle the axe by which to behead them.
Standing tall amongst her army, Twilight Sparkle proclaimed the downfall of the Equestrian Duumvirate, and the rise of the Empire of the Equinox!
But then you realize how much easier problems could be to solve. And people will be happier afterwards! They’ll understand… you’re the good guy, after all.
