At one point I attempted to color this, but I was having trouble trying to figure out what to color the spider and the whole quarry around it. Whatever I did come up with just didn’t look right: I chose a brownish color for the spider and a purplish-gray for the quarry (using this as a color reference). It was also very difficult trying to select everything with all the heavy details. After so much time and dissatisfaction, I eventually gave up on it.
