Emerald is a bit concerned with Ruby’s loss of memory. He quickly turns to Joyride and asks her if she can do anything to help.
 
Ruby interrupts and grunts out, “Really, it’s fine. I just don’t want to talk about it right now alright?”
 
Emerald thinks about his past. He wonders if he should tell her about the work he’s been doing recently… He isn’t sure it’s the best thing to bring up now at least, in front of Joyride. Maybe some other time.
 
“Hmph.” Joyride says sitting back down, “Well, either way I’m all done with my food. Come on, let’s get this started.”
 
The trio walk out of the flat and then after a quick key change they head into the training room. Out of all the rooms he’s been in so far Emerald would have to say this is the dingiest, though it’s got what you’d expect out of a training room. There are medicine balls in one corner, and slightly off center from the middle of the room is a practice mat. On the opposite wall is a target and a dummy against the opposite side of the room, as well as a door. There is also a book case which seems to be full of books about mixing magic with martial arts. Funnily enough the whole thing is rather dusty. Emerald inquires about this to Joyride.
 
“Meh. I had a phase where I wanted to learn to mix my magic with fighting skills… But really when you can disintegrate most things at twenty paces there isn’t much point is there? Plus it’s pretty hard you know, having to jump and twist around and stuff… Never much cared for close quarters combat.” Joyride says with a yawn.
 
Emerald notices Ruby playing with the practice mat, and asks if she wants to practice her knife skills.
 
“Hey now, you came here to learn magic didn’t you?” Joyride says.
