Eh, doubt the chrysalis part, she just doesn’t seem to fit a “bigfoot” style local legend really.  
Also, half expecting Cinch will end up becoming this worlds chrysalis somehow if they do decide to introduce her :p

My thoughts on the plot are this: the Gloriosa character ‘‘is’’ the one running the camp, it is failing, and it because there’s a local legend ala Bigfoot that is scaring away campers. The mane 7 (being SS, SciTwi, and the other Mane 5) go exploring and discover it is a creature that may or may not be evil () that had falling into the human world from Equestria and/or is the human world equivalent of that. They work to either fight off the creature or figure out how to make this creature friendly and help revitalize the camp. Here the former makes more sense given the nature of big fight scenes at the end of these movies.
 
() I hope this could mean this creature is Crysalis. Or this could also be Zecora (read: rehashing of Bridal Gossip though they would have to be REALLY careful about make that about racism). There’s a lot of “existing” Equestia-side characters that can be reused here without having to create a new cast as had to be done in FG.

Yeah. Though I’m still somewhat worried. I mean, there’ll have to be the councilor of the camp, the new girl that they keep showing, and probably an evil accountant of some type trying to shut the camp down.
 
Though, I’d love it if Tree hugger was the camp councilor of the camp XD (but she’s supposed to be the same age as fluttershy, so that’s doubtful >.<)

That’s why I’m sorta glad we’ve only got one new confirmed EQG character from the toy fair, and more instead new clothes outfits for the existing characters. RR worked well that there were only three characters to introduce, each personalized enough to make them all interesting but giving so much more focus on the mane 6 + SS. I get that feeling here too that LoE will be less about anyone new.

i rather hope they just don’t try and cram in a bunch of characters who have no point again like FG did with the shadowbolts.  
The only reason for them was to have recolors to sell as well… and I honestly don’t think that turned out well given the Reports on the last quarter. Not really surprising, kids are going to buy the toys of the characters they like, not just a bunch of random newbies without any real story to them.

It won’t likely be McCarthy, since she’s still busy on the feature film. This doesn’t mean its necessarily Haber either.
 
That said, Haber had a hard job as to force the various sports-themed toys that they produced into a plot. As much as we’ve seen from the toy fair reveal, there’s a heck of a lot more open plot potential with all that we know is that there is camping, the everfree forest, and one new character. Tons easier to work with.

Actually it’s the reverse. The movies are not being released fast enough to warrant consistent toy sales for Equestria Girls merchandise. You can look up Hasbro’s toy sales reports if you want. Equestria Girls merch sells when a movie is released, but not in-between.

Will Josh Haber be writing this like when he wrote Friendship games or will Meghan McCarthy come back to write like she did with the first movie and Rainbow Rocks?

EQG doesn’t really warrant the money for a full on series, FIM is expensive enough as is. Hasbro would much rather stick to a limited movie/shorts system and leech off of FIM for advertisement of the characters.

We still don’t know the exact nature of Human magic, though. Personally, I hope this is the last one and we get a series instead. There is so much they could do, but they can’t do because of the time constraints and erratic release dates of the movies. We have not even heard Derpy, Diamond Tiara or Silver Spoon speak yet.

At that point they might as well just go ahead with a full on tv series that can give them several episodes of run time to work with instead of these movies that only really gives them and hour and a half, I mean if they still want to keep the EQG sub brand going they might as well go all in with it….

Really? Another one? But we kind of capped off Sunset Shimmer’s story arc in the last one…..

I’d rather they focus on magic, mythology and mystery than another “high-school” centric story.

Here’s my take on the Legend of Everfree storyline:
 
Camp Everfree, the largest summer camp in Equestria, had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after 25 years of operations. During the six years prior to the film, the camp’s attendance declined, which resulted in a major loss of profits. The camp’s president announced that a major fundraising event (i.e. a gala event) would have to be held in order to raise enough money for it to continue operating. If not enough money is raised for the camp to continue operating, the bankruptcy would have to be converted to a Chapter 7 bankruptcy and the camp would have to go out of business.
