Apparently people screamed and then went quiet
What exactly occured?
“Oh nothing just saw a snake”
Aw thanks :D
I wish you could upvote comments here.
Also, just want to say; you make the weirdest sh*t for pony OCs. I love it. Keep up the amazing work!
(Not enough thumbs-up to convey my approval)
You’ve seen the kinds of OCs I normally make, right? :D
Those right there, in order of appearance, are the offspring of a human and a timberwolf, a pony costume filled with sentient tentacles, the result of Rarity mating with one of the living dress monsters from her dream in “Do Princesses Dream Of Magic Sheep”, and a dakimakura where the image printed on it is alive and can move freely.
It’s not too common I decide to make just a totally normal, unremarkable, unassuming earth pony, eh? (Even though he’s blind, which is kind of remarkable, but still)
Well, nobody said that the OC has to be original…
That’s not a near-copy of somepony that showed up onscreen? Your list of options is vanishingly small. Even allowing garish color schemes doesn’t expand things as much as you want to think.
What is so difficult about it? All it should require is taking a basic pony build, giving it some generic hair shape, and then coming up with some non-garish color scheme.
Y’know my first thought here wasn’t so much that they left, so much as they stopped screaming, among other things, given that they ‘saw a snake’.
As far as species go, I don’t know. Alicorns and Dracon…whatevers are debatable because we don’t know if Celestia, Luna, and Discord are just special cases or not. Chrysalis might be but changelings probably aren’t. I’m overthinking this way too much :/
Though that made me think of something. What if all the various baddies who have “escaped” from imprisonment were actually released and put on Equestria’s equivalent of a trial. If they choose to simply live peacefully or are reformed by Twilight and co, they are found innocent of their crimes and let go. If they are reimprisoned or destroyed they are found guilty. This is why Celestia actually attacked Chrysalis: Chrysalis wasn’t part of this trial system and thus needed to be stopped.
But yeah. There is something oddly funny about making Celestia out to be a bad guy.
“Finally, a day off!”
Really, it’s about time the ravages of old age finally got one of these bozos. How many functionally immortal species could there be on that planet?
On a barely-related note, saying he made “bail” implies that he died of old age during his pre-trial detention, not actual prison sentence. Which makes it all the more hilariously cruel.
“Alright, Destructicles, you made bail.”
*Opens cell and finds skeleton*
*Face hoofs*
“Right… they only live 80 years tops… Twilight! Good news! You’re getting a peaceful Season Premiere!”
I was just referring to your “double standard” thing.
Their world is full of dangerous mythical creatures like manticores and dragons, but none of those “monsters” could deliberately cause the kind of damage that an alicorn-turned-evil could. Or, as Phantom Rider pointed out, an alicorn with a guilty conscience and limited supervision. The “good guys” can cause far more damage accidentally than the “bad guys” could ever do on purpose.
It’s a lot like real governments, actually.
On the topic of Celestia’s approach to justice, I’ve always assumed she just had a habit of imprisoning her enemies for irrationally long periods of time and then forgetting about them. Tartarus doesn’t seem like it has much of a parole board.
Oh okay I see and yes we need a Celly episode badly.
Yep :P
That’s what I’m saying. I want to know the reason why. In a more perfect world we’d finally get a Celly episode and it would be about her trying to save her sister.
OH GOD. XD Congratulations, you made my drink come up my nose.
And did you make that pic? And why, why, why can’t debates look more like that?
And I always figured Celestia knew she couldn’t do it alone. Twilight and company were here plan to have save her sister. But who knows, there might have been other things that were tried in the meantime.
What makes you think she didn’t try to save her sister? I’m pretty sure did and it just didn’t work.
For the record I meant “monsterous” as in how different her appearance is fom the regular ponies. I mean, when you get down to it she’s twice the size of an normal pony with a disproportionately small head, has a neck that stretches from here to Denver, a mane made of fog, and some pretty scary powers. Imagine if that applied to real-life world leaders. Presidential debates would look like this:
We know Celly’s a good pony, but if I didn’t, and I was given the choice of Celestia or Maredusa based entirely on appearance and powers, I’m taking the bloody snake pony. I’ll walk right up to her, roll myself up in her tail, and boop the nose of every single one of her snakes before telling her she has pretty eyes.
@SFaccountant
True… but he was a jerk anyways. The thing I’ve always wondered about (and by “wonder” I mean I wish they’d give a reason in the show) is why she never, in those 1000 years, tried to save or fix Luna. There must be a reason; that’d make a cool episode.
Oh yeah I forgot about the storm clouds in that episode I guess that counts and Rarity was able to move clouds with her magic but something more powerful about just willing it into existence, an yeah it just goes to show how powerful alicorns can be in certain areas if they were trained in combat they could be serious foes (raw power can only get you so far) they’re basically demi-gods.
I’m not who you asked, but…
She doesn’t but the race she is ruler of does. And you know, she might be able to. Luna’s mood warped the weather in Luna Eclipsed. If the princesses’ unicorn magic is as much stronger than ordinary unicorns as we’ve seen, one must assume that goes for the pegasus and earth pony side too.
But what really makes alicorns scary is “Do Princesses Dream Of Magic Sheep.” Luna created the Tantibus within her own mind. No Elements of Harmony like many of Tia’s past victories, no long-term plans, etc. She created a apocalypse-grade Lovecraftian horror as capable of plunging the world into an unending hell as any season premiere/finale villain… JUST. BY. THINKING. ABOUT. IT.
(I know I said more about Luna than Celestia, but Tia’s more restrained. She’s all serene and stuff and so the most destructive things we’ve seen on Luna’s bad days don’t happen with her. If Celestia had been a villain in the past and wanted to torture herself for it, she’d have someone make a delicious cake and not give her any.)
Weather?
Princess Celestia isn’t a monster in the sense that, say, Chrysalis is a monster. Chrysalis brainwashes and emotionally drains others to feed herself and her people. Princess Celestia is absolute ruler of a race that controls the orbit of the sun and moon, as well as the weather. She could devastate continents by being out of action for a week.
And let’s not even get STARTED on Cadance.
@Badumsquish
Hey, kidding aside, she did petrify Discord. And then set him up in a public statue garden like some sort of trophy.
