This! Sometimes someone’s can exaggerate your known characteristics so much they look “more like you than you do”. This is part of the reason why Charlie Chaplin supposedly lost. His little Tramp walk wasn’t as exaggerated as it was in some famous scenes.

I read rock band Kiss once got stuck in traffic. As their hotel wasn’t far off they decided to walk. They were in their full makeup and outfits, but it happened to be Halloween. They got compliments on their costumes, but no one actually realized it was them.
