That looks like art for the Transformers: Devastation video game actually.
@LightningBolt
From what I’ve seen on here, Youtube, Deviantart, and even on Amazon reviews, there are just as many people who love G1 as G4 (maybe not as big, but it is growing), and a lot of people have mentioned how great it was and some even thought it was better than FiM in their opinion. There’s even this article: http://metro.co.uk/2014/09/24/my-little-pony-tramples-care-bears-and-glo-worms-into-the-ground-4880319/
Me, I’m a G1/G4 fan. Though I got into MLP by G4 (though expressed mild interest hearing of the 1986 film), I love G1 too and have both G1 and G4 stuff :3
That person kinda sounds more like some G1 hater to me…
@Joshua
Lemme guess, a re-release of G1 Transformers toys?
But, it’s cool to see that they’re making anything for the past series.
Oh they exist, all right. I’m one of them. Since 1984.
Although I’ve kind of… taken up collecting toy horses in general so
Also I want the MLP Tales guys brought back in FIM :3
No, you are wrong, very wrong. There are a lot of older gen pony fans, especially for G1, it’s just incorrect to assume that only fans of FiM/G4 exist. Granted, the two parts of the fandom tend to not congregate too much together, but they exist.
You don’t have to like it, but they exist, and are often sadly ignored.
I don’t really care much for G1 MLP myself, but I say people should still understand where G4 came from and appreciate it.
The difference is that there are lots of fans screaming for G1 transformers… FIM’s current popularity is more or less freshgrown with little to no support for its success from its original G1 fans.
So while there are many old school transformer fans that form the bedrock of Transformers sales and can be counted on, the number of G1 pony fans is virtually nill with little reliability, financially.
