Sorry, I love this comic but I have to downvote for the atrocious English. There’s nothing in the show that indicates that Igneous is that much of a moron.
To be honest this seems less like the artist is purposely giving him bad english and more like english isn’t the artist’s first language in the first place. I could be wrong (in which case I apologize, pencils), but the dialogue has given me that impression so far.
 
Pencils is Finnish so proper modern English isn’t his first language, let alone Elizabethan Modern English.
 
But he is grateful for it being pointed out and to receive some pointers or direction to improving it later on.
