The fact that they can Rider Kick is at least half the reason I want these dolls.

“Horse Rider Kick!”
that’s the big problem i have that’s preventing me from getting the rainbow rocks dolls even when they’re cheap now (less articulation) that and their prices still have competition from other stuff i like.
but the mini-figs articulation, design is practically perfect.

On the upside, the fact that they’re selling so well should let Hasbro know that nice looking, articulated toys are the way to go. We can only hope this will lead to an expansion and more characters.
Of course, we must first hope there’s enough of them for us!
danggit!
high chance specialty stores will get advance orders (there’s a chance they won’t get a retail release) but they’ll jack up the prices X_X
Bleh, random. I wonder if they have them at their physical locations. I might check next week.
Oh shoot, that’s right– the individual figures were still cryptids last I heard, but the slumber party sets actually came out first at Smyths, before they even hit the U.S. market; somebody was complaining, though, that there’s no way to pick which of them you get if you order them online– they apparently just send one at random.
May I ask where you got yours?
Super Target at Southpark in Austin. I checked there the Monday after Christmas and there was no space in the MLP section for any of the Minis; a week later there was space on the shelves and racks for 20 playsets and 36 individual figures, and a total of three sets and four figures left. These things aren’t just flying off the shelves, they’re barely slowing down to say hello to the shelves on their way out the door.
@OptimusPrimevil
international release
If it’s like the other EqG dolls, they won’t go international for six or eight months.
Is there any news of an international release for those?
That sounds like it’s gonna be awesome. I was on the fence about getting these, but now…
giggles
May I ask where you got yours? I assume you ordered online? I doubt my local Toys R Us will have them, but they did get the Rainbow Rocks and Friendship Games toys in fairly quickly.
The base Rarity doll is looking to her left, so when I (FINALLY) find one, they are totally getting a Rarijack Double Rider Kick photo; I need to see if my Tokusatsu otaku friend still has his Figuarts Shocker Rider for a target.
nice!
@OptimusPrimevil
With a few of the Soul Effect parts, you could probably have them do things like Rider 1’s Lightning Rider Kick, Rider 2’s Spinning Drill Kick or V3’s Reverse Kick.
