Rooting hair on a vinyl head does not need pre-placed holes when it’s done by a machine…
Technically they were, since the holes needed to be placed in different designs?
Those were not different molds.
What I meant was there were two head molds: one head had a completely straight line up and down. The other had a shorter line, while the top was replaced by a perpendicular line.

banged and non-banged ponies always had the same molds, they were just rooted differently.
Agreed. Instead of just binding the tail in a rubber band, they could try to curl it/straighten it/make it fluffy.
A fair complaint, but I feel my point still stands.
Some ponies used to have bangs (AJ, RD, and Twi did, while PP, Flutters, and Rares didn’t) and then they took the bangs out to save money on molds. :(

Let’s be fair, a lot of what differentiates ponies on the show is in the manestyle, and a brushable can’t really replicate that.

i friggin hate the clear ponies, its just such a cop out so they dont have to bother painting them
