Yeah, one theory states they ate weird mushrooms that allowed them to go full rage-state, I was just explaining where the word itself came from.
The origin you are refering to being the vikings that used drugs to help them embody animistic like ferocity in battle? Such as the bear guy on the bridge of Stamford?

You could almost say they went… bearserk.
The word “berserker” comes from an old Norse word meaning “bear shirt”. Berserkers were warriors who wore distinctive bear-skin shirts and, as the name implies, went into a violent rage, tearing apart anything in their path, friend or foe (hence why Sparkling Cider wants her and Ink Blot to get the hell out before Cottontail goes full bear).
I’m guessing it has something to do with bears.
Particularly funny/relevant if you know the origin of the word “berserker”.
