It started because one person commissioned several artists to make fanart based on a fanfic crossover he wrote called Spiders and Magic. Then there were others who commissioned crossover art based off of it.

To be fair, the guy has success with this story and one of the reasons people like it because it treats Spider-man better than what the comics have been doing. It’s Derpi where I see it gets a lot of hate because some vindictive users who despise crossover ships and can’t bother to hide the tags.

To be fair, that shitty game really did him in the eyes of people who have never even picked up a Sonic game. Every YT reviewer under the sun has done a Shadow the Hedgehog review, if not a brief mention.

I’d argue that SoniDash’s problem is simply the fact that it’s Sonic.

It’s a shame when I think about it (I say that a lot, don’t I?); Peter Parker and Twilight might make the slightest bit of sense together if a talented writer had taken up the story.

The art’s really nice though; wish people would upvote for that alone. I’ve never been a fan of downvoting good art even if I loathe the source material. But that’s just me.
Forced crossover, the commissioner has more money than God and likes to flaunt it, and Peter Parker is a sniveling little beta bitch who is more than likely going to either make some kind of juvenile blunder to break Twilight’s heart or literally sell their love to the Devil.
It’s such a pity that this version of Twilight is so god damn hot; she needs to get with someone like Sunset or Captain America. XD
