Indeed! But that doesn’t change anything. I also would not like to debate how people’s beliefs and semantics on commissions differ, as it is clear no one here can be accepting of the fact that others see it differently and just continue to whine about how they think it should be done. Arguments are not something Derpibooru needs more of so I wont continue this silly topic.

Well yes I don’t see why I should be pandering to others and their own personal likings. If more people liked samesize vore are you gonna call me a dick because I am commissioning images like this and they don’t like it? I think not. The way I see it is I got an image for myself (and a few friends) and others get to enjoy it too through the magic of public image sharing sites, not the other way around.
And if they liked the other version as well I guess you just don’t care. That’s why you are coming off as kind of nasty. It’s nice that you paid for it and all, but that doesn’t make what you did seem nice. It just makes it “within your rights”.
And now they can see this one, favorite it and potentially follow the artist with all its glory. Not seeing the issue here buddy.
You could have tagged it as a WIP or something. I get that you feel entitled to full control over all distribution of the image, but people had seen it, favorited it, and potentially started following the artist because of it, and then you had it removed because you only wanted the one version to exist. Heck, you could have left it up, had this one uploaded, and merged it as the updated version. That would have been completely fine. But demanding it be removed was kind of a nasty looking move.

Well that all depends on if it’s the artist or the commissioner calling the shots. If it’s the artist’s decision to make only one version publicly available, then fine, it’s their art, they can do what they want with it. And if it’s the commissioner who makes the call as a part of their agreement with the artist, then I still don’t like it much, but fine.
But when it’s the commissioner telling the artist to take it down after they’ve already publicly uploaded it, well now you’re getting into some pretty grey territory.
Do you think its dickish how artists only allow upload of a smaller res and give the original to the person who commissioned it? That is like the exact same thing pretty much and no one complains about that because it is accepted. If you think you’re so entitled to someone else’s art that they are sharing with you then I’m afraid you would be the “dickish” one.

But as they said, you still got this exact picture regardless of whether or not the almost-finished version was left up. You simply deprived other people of a version they wanted to see for no reason other than because you personally don’t like it as much. That’s pretty dickish, dude.
Yeah because I don’t like vore with a lack of liquids, I mean its only reasonable that I should get something I like (not to mention it was missing a lot of tiny details, as I said it was not done)
but you did get it, you just objected to a second version existing, which I just don’t understand. The drool version was always going to exist, and you got it just fine, getting exactly what you paid for. It’s just weird to me that the other had to be pulled to satisfy the existence of this one.

Whys that, if you pay a lot of money for a piece of art shouldn’t you get that?
Still, this artist does non-drool versions all the time. Seems kind of cruel to remove the other version just because it wasn’t the exact final version you wanted. This one was inevitable. Didn’t need to kill the other one.
Just my opinion anyway.
