And don’t get hung up on these minor facts. Truth is about more than that, truth is a feeling in your gut that you know is true! Truth is searching for anything that proves you’re right no matter how small, and holding on to that, no matter what!

Personally, I would actually like to see Starlight as a main cast member. Not just because I like her, it’s also because I think the show needs a little more ‘variety’ of sorts. Most of the main six are pretty much where they want to be in life. Granted, you can expand on it, but for what it’s worth, the show kind of has a narrow view of the world in favor of the Main six, Spike, CMC.
 
Granted, Starlight doesn’t have to appear in every episode. Not even the main six do that, but I would like it if she appeared more regularly than we see of other side characters given how her journey for friendship leads to a lot of great possible paths and would help smooth out some of the hate.
 
Of course, I would also like other characters: The Cakes, Spa Twins, Mayor Mare, Sassy Saddles, etc, to have more prominant roles since they themselves have connections to the main six and even work at places they frequent, which would be an easy way for them to get more time to shine. Perhaps even episodes featured around them. It’s asking too much, but eh. I just like having the world feel more alive and with a good deal of variety. {Which is why I love Fairy Tail so much.}

Also FYI the S5 episode list was leaked mid-season early on. I doubt we’d have the list long before S6 even aired.

Presumably the stuff suggesting that Starlight is going to be a permanent part of the mane cast. Which I really hope is not true; I’d be fine with her playing a role like Discord, showing up every so often, but not a full time cast member.

I can only think of like, maybe two comments I’ve seen that actually dislike her being reformed, and they only complained because she was one of the best villains. Everyone else took issue with how she reformed (both very quickly just by being talked down by Twilight and not immediately following seeing the bad future she was creating where that would more believably be able to convince her) and/or how everyone instantly forgave her with a two minute song montage of hanging out with everyone.

Out of all the two parters, I honestly don’t think this was all that rushed. Perhaps they could have cut a bit from the three more prominent timelines, but for what it gave me, I think this is my favorite. Given how the show’s done excellent with post-reformations {Luna, Sunset, Discord} I think it’s a little early to jump the gun with Starlight.

I also didn’t have a problem with her reformation. I don’t feel like it was too heavily rushed, granted I haven’t watched the episode since it first premiered.

Really, the only problem was that it should have went more subtle.. but I think more people had issues with her being reformed in general, along with her motivation denouncing cutie marks and sameness.
 
Personally, I was never bothered by it. I know Starlight will be more fleshed out when the next season comes. Plus she’s fucking cute as hell. <3
