To be fair, Shadow hasn’t really been that angsty, & brooding sense the 2005 Shadow solo game brought closure to the whole “Maria” thing, and such.
So I don’t get why people still try to label him as “emo,” as if this is still 2002. (And people don’t whine about all those brooding & emo Final Fantasy & such characters.)

Also, if she helps him find that damn fourth chaos emerald he’ll likely be a li’l friendlier in the end. (Well, “friendly” for Shadow’s standards.)
