But what if for error starlight accidentally was trapped in the past or something?
(Suicide).
No, Equestria is better then her in general, but they posses a heavily ingrained heroes complex. I simply, as stated, despise hypocrysy and the lack of a truly balanced criminal system depicted in the show and comics for Equestria. As they depend on two immortal rulers, who are biased out the arse and often are treated to be above everything they do, to pass judgment, and fail to solve most of the problems presented, simply pushing them off for later generations to inevitably deal with.
Glimmer is by all rights a zealotic fool, a idealistic tyrant and a mad mare, but that can be helped given time and genuine effort, from her and those attempting to do so.
So can the the mistakes of Equestria, but no ever seems to bring them up, no matter how many repercussions are stated to come from said actions, which annoys me to no end.
Are you seriously trying to pull the “both sides are just as bad” argument?
I have little sympathy aswell, though I like her character as she is a great representation of ideals in extreme, much as Equestria represents conformity to the same. What I despise is hypocrisy, corrupt punishments and false justice. I agree something needs to be done with her, but the Equestrian legal system fails on every front from what we’ve seen in comics and in cannon, as many punishments far outway the actual crime committed, or those in high positions are allowed to effectively break every law without so much as a slap on the wrist.
I’d personally put her through a few hearings, return the town to her, but force guidlines. Hell, give her a unicorn to caste the spell as a civil service and let her try again on truly equal terms, as that was the sole reason she gave false information.
You’re talking to the wrong guy, honestly: I’ve got about as much sympathy for Glimmer as I’ve got for my toilet brush.
I didn’t think to add it, but, Glimmer for all her faults only really lied about one thing, and it was out of necessity with the spell being cast by her. Other then that she didn’t have much more then the others. Though yes, keeping her ideal above the others by solitary wasn’t right, though again no one complains about the “good guys” doing the exact same thing to an even more extreme degree.
True, but that anguish ended before permanent damage was done, this won’t. If only because harmony doesn’t seem to like actually solving problems, only putting them out of sight and out of mind.
To be fair, she’s inflicted plenty of mental anguish onto others.
Birds, eh? Like swans? As in Loom? X3
it will once they decide to put the statue out on a park or something.
you know…
birds.
Considering this is comparable to life long torture for decades or even centuries, petrification is a worse fate then dungeons, death or even mutilation. Her mind will be gone and shattered to millions of pieces.”, so yes, bodily harm isn’t the only kind of abuse that should be tagged as such.
Doubt it. Glimmerbuse is WAY worse than this.
