Yeah, especially in one of the recent episodes, Starlight is shown to be wayyy more wiser and smarter and more likable than Spoiled Rich (especially in A Horse Shoe-In). Plus Starlight is a more interesting character.
Spoiled Rich is a ponified Malory Archer; Starlight Glimmer is a ponified Kim Il-Sung.

I didn’t mean to invoke the biblical reference, but I do know it. Gold is a precious metal, and Starlight is a precious pone, so the shoe fit in my eyes.
I dunno - Glimmer still was the one who decided brainwashing ponies and altering the timeline to satisfy her own selfish needs was a perfectly reasonable course of action.

To clarify, Starlight is the golden calf. The fact that I feel the need to clarify this has chipped at my faith in humanity just a little bit more.
Don’t put Starlight Glimmer and Sunset Shimmer in the same sentence again. Please. That’s like putting a golden calf in the same room as a leprous calf.
